WhatsApp, operated by Meta and Meta, is developing a feature to simplify file sharing offline. According to recent leaks, users will soon be able to seamlessly share pictures, videos, music, and documents between devices.

This feature allows users to share various files without Wi-Fi or data services. Don’t worry about security either – any shared files will be protected against anyone trying to gain access.

Screenshots released from the latest WhatsApp test version for Android will reveal which permissions this feature requires, with particular attention paid to its ability to identify phones supporting offline file-sharing features.
